Professional standards

We are members of the British Acupuncture Council , which requires its members to be properly trained in the theory and clinical practice of acupuncture, and to have a knowledge of conventional western medicine adequate for the safe practice of acupuncture.. We are bound by the Council's Code of Ethics which covers relations with patients, fellow practitioners and the general public. We are also bound by the Council's Code of Safe Practice and by Calderdale Council's bye-laws which both include stringent standards of hygiene and safety, and of sterilisation of needles and equipment.
